For over 19 years, ACT has been a vital force in the climate ecosystem, uniquely positioned to bring together diverse stakeholders to advance a just, equitable, and clean energy future. As a result, our work has helped build what has become one of the strongest clean energy ecosystems in the U.S.,with progressive policies, spurring innovation, and building communities where entrepreneurs, businesses, and investors have thrived. Our work has also been instrumental in helping the states inour region make significant progress toward their clean energy and decarbonization goals.

Today, we find ourselves at a critical juncture. Like many climate non-profits, ACT is feeling theeffects of significant economic and political uncertainty. Recent shifts in the broader fundingenvironment, as highlighted by reports in the media, have created a challenging landscape wherefederal funding is being culled and philanthropic organizations are being forced to be morediscerning. The reality is that this is a period of reckoning, and a time that calls for action.

To navigate this new environment, the ACT board of directors and senior management are taking decisive steps, right-sizing the organization as appropriate and focusing on a sustainable long-term plan, so that we can continue to do the critical work needed in our region to build and support the climate ecosystem. This effort, however, requires immediate support to bridge us through this transition and preserve the legacy and scope of our work.

The Peter Rothstein Fund

In honor of his long-standing commitment to the Alliance for Climate Transition, we are launching the Peter Rothstein Fund to raise critically needed unrestricted funds that will serve as a lifeline for our organization. This campaign is independent of our annual Green Future Gala and is designed to serve as a critical bridge, providing the resources needed to execute our robust plan for financial sustainability and build a more resilient foundation for the future, including a clear leadership succession plan.

Your donation, as always, is tax-deductible and will be used to sustain the core functions that make our work possible. A contribution, at any level, is helpful to our cause.
